ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHER DAVID BEYDA David Beyda has been operating his headshot photo studio, The DAVID BEYDA STUDIO, in midtown Manhattan since 1997. He is a graduate of the NYU Tisch School of the arts where he studied photography and majored motion picture production. He went on to study acting at the William Esper Studio where he completed their two year program in Meisner training. David has also studied with Bobby Lewis and with Austin Pendleton at HB Studios. He has appeared Off-Broadway with the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre and has been a member of Actors Equity Association. David feels that some photographers may unknowingly intimidate their subjects, to make things go smoother for themselves, simply because they may lack sensitivity or don't take the necessary time to get to know their subjects properly. He feels that this is at the heart of most headshot problems. David feels that if your shot should be working for you and will if you are allowed to be yourself. It's not as complicated as it sounds. David Beyda is a photographer who has developed his own technique through his experience photographing thousands of aspiring actors. Working to capture your real essence and create, with you, a magnificent headshot--that's his goal. David Beyda possesses, through his personal experiences, the sensitivity and understanding necessary to make your headshot special. ABOUT THE STUDIO The DAVID BEYDA STUDIO, is a fully equiped digital headshot studio located in midtown Manhattan at 140 West 32nd Street. We have an indoor and an outdoor shooting area, where we can utilize the natural light. HOW TO GET HERE Subways and Mass transit: We are located a half a block from Penn Station and the Path trains. Subways nearby include the 1,9,2, A, C, E, F, Q, B, D, N & R trains. Note: When you get to 140 West 32nd Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues) you will see a beauty salon (called "Unisex Salon" you just enter through the salon and then toward the rear of the shop you'll see a door with a sign that says "PHOTO STUDIO" this door will open onto a staircase and then you take that staircase up one flight to our studio.
